Mataraua stands as a reminder of where we come from — the whenua that shaped us, the hapū that grounds us, and the people who carried our name with pride.

This piece is dedicated to my Nana, Bella Hutchinson (née Pou Tau) — a reflection of her strength, mana, and the legacy of Ngāi Tawake ki te Waoku.
